Let Me Focus

The Let Me Focus App is about helping you focus on the tasks that you have to do for a day. Task items can be everything from writing an email to someone, attending a meeting to buying certain grocery items you need.

There are three sections: Today, Tomorrow and Yesterday.

Creating a default task item is super easy. Just enter the name of the task in the subject field and additional descriptions if you want, after this just press the create button. The task item itself will be listed in the Today section, mark it as complete when it’s done or postpone it to Tomorrow. Older tasks will automatically be moved to Yesterday.

You can additionally enable extra options for your task items, like setting an alert time or customize it with icons and colors to differentiate the task items.

Use charts to track the average completed items for a week or a different time period.

Widgets on the iPhone are supported, this enables you to see a quick summary of the task items for Today on your homescreen.

Do or Do Not

Track your day to day activities with Do or Do Not. Once you start using this application, you’ll not want to go back to a time without having it. Each activity or habit can be set with an icon to better identify and distinguish itself from other activities.
The activity itself has an occurrence count, for how many times a day you want to do this task. The number of icons represents this count. You simply tap on the icon to mark part of the activity as done and go back to what you were doing.

The activities will reoccur each day and new entries will be automatic created for it. You can easily set the status to non-active to skip a day.

Each activity has a timeline function which shows the daily results for each day it was active. This is easy to understand, and you can just scroll through it and to get a comprehensive overview.

In general, most applications offer the option to track habits, streaks, routines, etc. only have one type of entry. The thing you want to do and improve. Negative items and things you want to avoid will also be put on the same list. This can work for a small list of items, but for bigger lists, this could start to get confusing. Do you have to do this one item or was it the other way around?

Do or Do Not makes a distinction between activities that you want to do and activities that you want to avoid each day. These Do Not activities could be anything you can think of. From quit smoking to eating less junk food, if improving your health is what you are aiming for. Or from reducing the time watching YouTube videos to checking your Facebook account, when improving your productivity is what you want. Each time you withstood the temptation, you mark it and go back to what you were doing.

With the selection list function, you can easily switch between the positive Do activities and the negative Do Not activities.
Do activities should be tackled with a positive attitude towards completing them.
Do Not activities should be tackled as activities that you should be avoiding, or more to the point the temptations that you should be withstanding.
From a behavioral standpoint: it is important to make a distinction between what should be done and what shouldn’t be done.

Do or Do Not also support Widgets on your home screen from iOS 14 onwards. Widgets are a good way to remind you of the activities that you have set for yourself. Activities are represented by the icons you have selected for them. And the progress can be easily understood in one glance.

Task Timer

What kind of application is this?

This is a timer application. All you have to do is: you create a task name, set a timer, and press start.
After the timer ends you will be prompted to answer if you accomplished the task or not? How it went (well or not) and what you could do differently the next time.

What is the purpose and goal of this application?
The ultimate goal of Task Timer is to help you improve focus and results in the tasks that you have set for yourself.
With repeated usage, the answer that you gave at the end timer session, you will be reminded of how the previous timer session went.
If for example, you wrote that you got distracted by something, you know what you should look out for this time.

Is there anything else?
Task Timer will also log all your end session answers to each task. With the History option, you will get an overview of the task you have set for yourself and how you can make an improvement to it.

You can choose from various countdown timer displays.
As a parent, when you put your child on a time-out, he or she has something to look at.
As a user, it’s always nice to have something to look at when you get distracted and Task Timer will put you back on the right track.

Memento Mori

The Memento Mori Application aims to put your mortality in view. Celebrating your birthday is something that everyone does, but few people spend time thinking about when they will die.

Our time is limited. Memento Mori gives you an overview of the time that you have left to live. See how much time has passed by and be aware of what you have been doing with it. Your lifetime activity and achievement at one glance in the palm of your hand.

Avoid wasting your time doing useless stuff. Do things that matter and that is important to you.

Why this app?
Compliance with your daily life is one of the biggest causes of losing out on your hopes and dreams.
Who hasn’t fallen victim to procrastination? Who hasn’t been guilty of procrastination?
I don’t feel like doing this today, I’ll postpone it to tomorrow.
I am busy now and have other things to do, I’ll skip it to another day.
Then before you know it too much time has passed by and you have lost focus towards your hopes and dreams. The thing that matters to you the most in life.

The questions?
Ask yourself the following question: what are your hopes and dreams in life? A thing that you crave for in life, a thing that’s always on your mind (the last thought at night and the first thought when you wake up), a thing that can’t be described in one word. The core of your being, the passion that drives you, the motivation that pushes you forward.

When you know this answer, that’s a good thing and you should celebrate this fact. If you’re not sure, try to dig deeper until you find the answer.

The next question you should ask yourself is: what are you willing to do and risks to take for making it come true.

The “What ifs”?
It’s a hard question to answer, isn’t it? What are you willing to do or what risk are you willing to take? What if you change the situation and setting to: you only have one day to live. Will you still be doing the things that you would normally be doing daily? Going to work, checking your social media account, spending your time posting/reading/watching media content.

What if you only have one week to live? What would and could you do? Start simple by defining an important moment or highlight for the week. (what could be the most important moment of the week). From here ask yourself what steps you could take towards making this moment come true.

What if you only have one year to live? How would you be spending your time? Do you enjoy your job and would you still be working in the same place until the end? What added value do all your social media account have in your life? Looking at the time spend on it, what else could you do with that same time.

What if you only have a couple of years left to live? (What would you do then?) What is important to you and is worth spending more time on. What activities consume a lot of time, but can be considered as not important at all. Reorder your priorities in life.

Avoid wasting your time doing useless stuff. Do things that matter and that is important to you.
